Lanao Norte Football Festival

Good day to all avid followers of Iliganon Footballers, There will be a coming tourney this June 18-19, 2011 at Mindanao Civic Center, Lanao del Norte, This is the first PFF-Lanao del Norte Football Tourney project, in the celebration of 56th Araw ng Lanao. I found this message from Atty. Alex E. Macabangkit posted in IUFC fb group. In addition, Congresswoman Hon. Aliah Dimaporo also tweeted me regarding for the tourney.

"To all: Please be informed that the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte in coordination with our association will hold the 1st PFF Lanao del Norte Football Festival on the occasion of the 56th celebration of Araw ng Lanao del Norte. This will be held this coming June 18-19, 2011. The festival is the opening program for this year's celebration together with the PBA game on the night of June 18, 2011. Big cash prizes and trophies will be given compared to other festivals that I personally participated. Please see invitation and rules where the cash prizes are indicated. I am therefore urging all football teams/clubs under our football association to participate this event. After this event, we will have another football festival for the Araw ng Iligan."

Inter-Barangay: FINALS

Iligan City, the 27th Iligan Inter-Barangay Tournament finally reached finals. May 22, 2011, Sunday afternoon the finals was held at Global football field, Suarez, Iligan City, It was really a successful summer football tourney to all Iliganon Footballers, Our dearest thank you to the Iligan City Gov for the support and to make this Iligan's traditional football tourney possible, Atty. Alex E. Macabangkit the president of the local fa (LANOFA). And lastly- to the Barangay who participated the said tourney and the people who support and believe us!

Ludo Football Field: Beautification

Iligan, Iligan United Football Club (IUFC) together with the Sto. Rosario booters helped each other for one goal! To improve their home pitch, They cleaned the area, cutting  the grass by using mower, leveling the grounds by putting soil and sand in the imbalance ground. A message from the VP, "TO ALL ILIGAN FOOTBALLERS : The Ludo football field is open to all football players. We play everyday ,3 pm -6pm ,  thanx to the effort of the sto. rosario football   players, to Mr. joe pete openiano,  and the Iligan United FC who helped developed this field, 
in regards to positve development of football in iligan city"

Palaro Football: NMRAA Champions!

DAPITAN, The Northern Mindanao booters from Region X in elementary division was the Champion in the sport Football. NMRAA takes home Champion against CVIRAA. Northern Mindanao are composed of three(3) main football famous cities, ILIGAN, Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon. They gain the highest points 25 in the ranking table.

SUAREZ, Iligan city, finally after a week of waiting, the Suarez booters request to put up a movable football goal was granted by the Commanding Officer LTC Angel I. Madarang INF (GSC) PA, The football goals are from the local FA, LANOFA which was borrowed by the Suarez booters. We are thanking our very own Brgy. Captain for the support Hon. Marcelo "Butch" Gellica Jr, Atty. Alex Macabangkit and the people behind LANOFA for letting us borrow the Goals, we also not forget to thank the Suarez booters to make it possible!

LANOFA gains Smart Club Minda semis

MANILA, Philippines - LANOFA Football Club of Iligan was held to a 1-all draw by Real Marbel FC of Koronadal but still advanced to the Smart Club Championship semifinals after topping the all-Mindanao regionals recently at the Tionko football grounds in Davao City.
After the LANOFA booters had gone ahead on a goal by Mycon Bacotot in the 63rd minute, Real Marbel’s Rashid Akmad managed to salvage a standoff with an enterprising equalizer in the 83rd of the close and exciting match at the end of the four-team tournament.
With two wins and a draw, LANOFA emerged the all-Mindanao champion with seven points while Columbia FC of Davao, which capped its campaign with a 7-0 rout of Bric-a-Brac FC of Pagadian, took runner-up honors with a 2-1 win-loss record, equivalent to six points.
LANOFA and Columbia will represent Mindanao in the Smart Club semis of the competition organized by the Philippine Football Federation.
Striker Allan Rey Fernandez led the charge of the hosts by completing a hat trick (9th, 13th and 15th) while Marlon Demapanag (8th), Abdulsalam Mamadali (33rd) Michael Fernandez (65th) and Abder Petosakan (75th) were the other goal scorers in the lopsided match.
Real Marbel (1-1-1) wound up third while Bric-a-brac was last after absorbing three losses.
Opening today at the Central Philippines University football field in Jaro City, Iloilo is the Smart all-Visayas regionals featuring teams from Iloilo, Negros Oriental, Cebu and Leyte, with the top two squads also entering the semis.

Councilor Roy L. Openiano donated Football Goals!

ILIGAN, Hon. Councilor Roy L. Openiano from the committee on cooperative  and livelihood, also a committee on census statistics and population, a NO-SPORT related councilor donated a 9-aside football goals to Iliganon Footballers, Goals where situated in LUDO Football Field.

"The next move is to ask the LUDO home owners a Memorandum of Agreement ,so that we can develop the field and use for the up coming tournaments. If the memorandum of Agreement is approve we would like to ask all the IUFC members all over the world ,your support to help develop this football field,we are planning on setting a standard 11 a side football field. thanx and more power to all IUFC, GOD BLESS US ALL" added by Melvin Alum of Iligan United Football Club.

All Mindanao: Iligan made it!

Davao, After all the struggle for victory Iligan 'Ba-o Breakers made it! They became champions in PFF-Smart All Mindanao Inter Club Men's Open National  Championship Elimination, they successfully eliminate Davao in the first game last wednesday dumping into 5-3. In the following day they trash Pagadian with a penalty kicked, '1-0. Iligan finish the day with 1-1 against General Santos, In the end of the day Iligan qualified and will be going to Manila soon representing Mindanao.

Iligan beats Pagadian: All Mindanao

Davao, The PFF-Smart All Mindanao Inter Club Men's Open National  Championship Elimination held in 
Davao City. After winning against Davao yesterday, Iligan's 'Ba-o Breakers FC' beats Pagadian with one goal nil! The goal was a penalty kicked by John Lara the captain ball of Iligan. The Iligan booters are staying in FTC Tower Hotel in Davao. Coach Monico dela Cruz was so proud of the achievement of his boys. Full time 1-0.

Iligan beat Davao in All Mindanao Elimination

Davao, The PFF-Smart All Mindanao Inter Club Men's Open National  Championship Elimination held in Davao City, For about a decade finally Iligan (Ba-o Breakers FC) defeated Davao (Columbia FC), The final score was 5-3. According to the goal keeper coach of Iligan the last time they beat Davao was in the year 1980's, and the U19 All Mindanao in years May 1987 in Agro Football Field, Davao.  Tomorrow they will face against Pagadian at 2:00 in the afternoon. The Iligan squad is now currently staying at FTC tower hotel.
